Forms processed by the College of Science and Engineering Academic Advising Center:
- Ask a COSE Advisor: for simple questions about policies or general degree requirements.
- COSE Change of Program Request: for updating your COSE major or adjusting your minor(s) and concentration.
- COSE Collaborate with an advisor regarding Spring 2025 courses: request non-appointment-based advising. Advising recommendations will be posted to the NavigateTXST app. This form is only for current students with a 2.00 TXST GPA or higher.
- COSE: Students on Academic Probation (for Spring 2025 Registration): link can be access via the Bobcats Bounce Back - COSE Edition site. Additional information can be found by searching your Bobcat mail for emails containing “B3."
- COSE Courses Counting Towards Degree: for students who were informed by Financial Aid and Scholarships that a course is being considered not eligible for financial aid, but the student believes is should be covered.
- COSE Request to Take Courses Off-Campus: for students who wish to take courses off-campus, advisors can confirm that the transfer courses can apply to the student's TXST degree.
- COSE Special Request: for making uncommon requests, usually to the College of Science and Engineering Dean's Office.
Forms processed by the COSE Dean's Office:
- Pre-Health & Pre-Veterinarian Studies Minor Exception Request Form: for exception/substitution requests for students minoring in pre-dental studies, pre-medical studies, pre-pharmacy studies, pre-physician assistant studies, and pre-veterinarian studies.
Transfer course evaluations:
- Core Curriculum Evaluation (aka Transfer Evaluation Request): used to determine if specific courses from a private, out-of-state, or international institution can satisfy Texas State Core Curriculum Requirements
- Course Evaluation & Substitution Request - Departmental Forms: course evaluation and substitution requests for College of Science and Engineering Courses are processed by the department that offers the course.
Registration-related forms:
- COSE Course Overload Request: to request to enroll in more credit hours than typically allowed.
- Override Requests for COSE Courses: if a student does not have the exact prerequisite that the registration system is looking for, but is using a transfer course (or similar) to satisfy a prerequisite, they will likely encounter registration issues. Students in this situation will likely need a prerequisite override. Prerequisite override requests for College of Science and Engineering Courses are processed by the department that offers the course. Please visit the appropriate departmental website to request a prerequisite override.
